A bit more about me:

Maddison York - Neurodivergent Counsellor

I’m a qualified pluralistic integrative counsellor having achieved a first class honours BA degree at the University of South Wales.

I have lived experience of neurodivergence, being late diagnosed as Autistic and having ADHD at 23, and am a strong supporter of the Neurodiversity paradigm.

I also have a personal understanding of living with chronic illness, having also been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune condition at 23.

As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I strictly adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice, which you can read more about here.

I also hold an enhanced DBS certificate, full Indemnity Insurance and I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), so you can rest assured that your personal data and information will always be kept safe and secure.

And, to ensure I am always working ethically, with my client’s best interests at heart, I attend regular supervision, with a supervisor who also adheres to the BACP’s Ethical Framework, for both my professional and personal development.
